Email fundraising strategist for nonprofits accelerating their mission

Say hello to nonprofit marketing strategies that keep donor relations front and center.

With AI and ever-changing algorithms, social media can only get you so far. Low reach and pennies-worth in ROI have you ready to delete social accounts and go back to the old-fashioned ways of meeting supporters in person.

It feels like too much. I get it.

Tight budgets and small teams make it challenging for nonprofits to effectively market their mission and report their impact. This creates inconsistency, and floating data points make it harder to make strategic, data-based decisions. (Half the battle is convincing your board of that, am I right?!)

You want confidence in putting your mission in the hands of someone you can trust, and your dollars with someone who wants to see you get maximum outcomes.

The wavelength I’m on accepts people

  • Of all abilities

  • Of all backgrounds, religions, and orientations

  • With an open mind and open heart

Because we’re better when we use our unique strengths and experiences to ignite change.

Increase your impact (and funds!) with an intentional email fundraising strategy.

I'll help your organization build and implement an email fundraising strategy that prioritizes donor relations while mobilizing your mission, so you have enough time and energy for mission-moving tasks.

I know handing your messaging over to someone else feels uneasy. You may have partnered with someone in the past who produced subpar results.

…Maybe email marketing is too much of a learning curve and you don't have time to dive in (luckily, you found me!)

…Maybe you're so overwhelmed that you can't possibly think about using another channel.

When you work with me,

  • 》An effective, customized nonprofit strategy to ensure you're leveraging the right tools and methods for optimal results.

》Clarity. As Brene Brown says, clear is kind, and I keep avenues of communication open and timely during our project.

》A regenerative email fundraising strategy built to increase your funds and turn supporters into ambassadors for your mission.

  • × Watered-down, AI-generated copy that doesn't connect with donors. We like real connection ‘round these parts.

× Wondering how all of these parts work and how to put them together. Depending on your needs, we will either work through this together or I'll do it all for you!

× Doling out money for short-term solutions. ’ll set you up with a strategy tailored to your mission and goals because I value long-term client relationships, and I'm cheering you on long after we work together.

Nonprofit marketing strategies to move your mission forward.

  • Donors need to hear your story.

Many nonprofits allow email marketing to go by the wayside because their impact isn’t being communicated in a way that connects to donors.

People want to feel connected. Invited. Valued. But you have to show them why your mission matters.

    Enter: Email Advocates

Fractional email service designed to connect and build trust with donors - not just give them a stuffed update once in a blue moon. You'll get:

    • 4 emails per month

    • Custom 12-month email marketing strategy

    • 3-4 email fundraising campaigns and donation page copy

    • 3 email sequences that move prospects through the donor journey (i.e. new subscriber, new donor, lapsed donor re-engagement, etc.)

    • 1 opt-in page and email sequence for prospect acquisition

    • Integration with your team, CRM, and initiatives

    • Email management and set-up in your platform

    • Subscriber maintenance and segmentation

    • Monthly communication check-in

    • Website copy updates (up to 5 pages)

    Investment: $3,000/month

    12-month commitment.

  • Putting the “friend” in friendraising to humanize your nonprofit marketing

Friendraising prioritizes building long-term donor relations versus just asking for a donation. In the age of AI and social media trends that fizzle out faster than the inflatable furniture phase of the 90s, we are seeking - and sticking around - folks who prioritize connection and community.

But it doesn’t stop at communication. The Friendraiser Circle is implemented with thoughtful strategy, custom to your organization’s needs and goals.

    The best part?

You gain ownership of everything, allowing you to replicate and tweak it for future fundraising campaigns. Because it’s not about just asking for a donation – it’s about how and why you make the ask, and how you engage donors after they’ve become ambassadors for your mission. (Feel free to take that to your board members, ha!)

If improving donor relations through email marketing is on your (never-ending) to-do list, then the Friendraiser Circle is for you.

Go from frazzled to funded with the Friendraiser Circle

    • Donation Page copy that connects, focused on building strong donor relations.

    • 3 email sequences to engage supporters before, during, and after you ask for a donation.

    • Consultation before campaign launch and check in post-launch

    • Customized Friendrasier Circle Planner

    • Everything set up in your email service provider

    • Ownership to replicate this copy and strategy for future fundraising campaigns

    • Campaign analytics report and recommendations for next steps

    Investment: $5,000 Payment plans available

    Timeline: 3-month commitment

  • Trade your bootstrapped campaign for a fundraiser strategy designed to reach your goals.

Sometimes all you need is guidance from someone who can take a bird's-eye view of your nonprofit marketing strategy.

Let me take a look at where your fundraising strategy is now and what your goals are. This is a great option if your team is looking for direction and implementation within the next month.

…The sense of ease and peace I feel when handing over a project to you. As a lifelong perfectionist and micro-manager, I never thought I'd be able to hand off copywriting to someone else in my business. Working with you has been so simple, pleasant, and it's allowed me to show up for my business in a new and exciting way.

Katie, Editor in Chief

Due to your collaboration on [this account], I have been able to step away knowing that the job would not only get done on time but adequately. You are able to hone in on the client's voice and write compelling email copy that aligns with our client's wants.

Hard truth:

Your fundraising strategy will flop if you aren’t prioritizing donor stewardship.

X Asking for money, then ghosting your donors, isn’t a fundraising strategy. You'll spend hours creating fundraising campaigns that fall flat if your DIY efforts don’t show the value in developing strong donor relations.

X If you're browsing for the cheapest nonprofit consultant or fundraising solutions, you'll spend more money fixing bad copy and broken systems. When it’s done right the first time, you’ll gain a regenerative system that brings in funds instead of draining them.

X When your copy doesn't connect with your supporters and drive them to action, donors will take their funds to an organization they feel connected to.

It's frustrating when your efforts don't come to fruition. That's why handing your copy over to someone who cares about your time, money, and positive impact can be a breath of fresh air. The words we craft together have the power to build a more inclusive, accessible, positive world.

Are you ready for that level of impact? Then it's past time to get started.

Email marketing for nonprofits is often overlooked as an effective fundraising strategy, but did you know that about 80% of nonprofits use email marketing as a primary fundraising channel?

While social media is an important lever of your marketing, you can’t depend on social media alone to reach your goals. Many nonprofits are missing the opportunity to build an effective email marketing strategy that brings in funds and retains donors.

Don't let that be you!

 FAQs

  • I hear ya! I can get it done sooner than the typical timeline, but it will require a rush fee.

  • Every project and organization is unique. The above packages guide what we can do together, but I am flexible. Book a call with me to discuss your specific needs, and I will strategize what we can accomplish based on your needs!

  • Good copy doesn’t have to mean inaccessible copy. For one-time projects, I typically require 50% upfront and 50% upon receipt of deliverables. Payment plans are also available. If we can’t work out a payment plan that fits your budget, we may also have to rework the scope of your project. The Fundraiser Strategy Consultation would be a budget-friendly starting point.

  • I’m a firm believer that copy meets design, but I cannot do both for you. If you also need design, book a VIP week so you can work with me AND Hannah! Book a call or send me an email for more details about this.

  • Fractional fundraisers are a great option for teams that aren’t ready to hire someone in-house. Fractional work costs less because I don’t require benefits to work with your team, but can still provide on-brand, consistent messaging. Keep in mind that my fractional fundraising work is specific to your email, website, and potentially blog or LinkedIn copy and strategy - not donor outreach.
